The Old Man Yotso architectural complex was built in 2005, being the work of the sculptors Monica Igarenska and George Tishkov. The main attraction is a 5 meter high statue of Ivan Vazov, made of white limestone from the quarries in the area. The idea to raise this statue belonged to a citizen of the region, named Ognian Petrov, who benefited from the support of the municipality of Mezdra, but also from donations from other citizens, delighted by this initiative. It is a cultural complex that includes many other works of art, and every year there is a literary prose contest, as well as a national festival of folk music.
